Wyndemere is recruiting for a hospitality focused Laundry Aide to join our team!

Shifts: Full-Time , 32 hours per week

Compensation: $16.50-19.10 / hr

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Laundry Aide:

• Collects, washes, dries and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Loads articles into washing machine and selects correct cleaning cycle for desired load. Sets washing machine to appropriate setting.
• Transfers articles from washing machine to dryer and sets dryer to appropriate setting and time cycle, including cool down cycle.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations. Folds and places items in appropriate carts or racks and delivers them to the linen closets or resident’s room.
• Collects soiled linen from the shower rooms and dining rooms. Sorts articles of clothing by specific type, according to wash categories specified by procedure.
• Marks resident’s personal items with their name and room number.
• Soaks contaminated articles per policy.
• Maintains safety precautions by keeping hallways and pathways clear of laundry carts.
• Reports all safety hazards to the EVS Manager or Supervisor as appropriate.
General housekeeping duties as assigned

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Must have the ability to stand/walk/crouch for up to 90% of your work day
• Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Must be comfortable working with biohazardous waste
Must have the ability to speak and write in English
