Wynmoor, a gated adult condominium community in Coconut Creek is seeking a Full-time Theatre Manager, for our into a one-of-a-kind experience theatre that consists of 962 seats and has a thrust stage which means that the view from any seat is unobstructed.

As an employee of Wynmoor, you will work in a casual, warm and friendly environment along side with co-workers whose primary goal is to service the community.

The Theater Manager will performs responsible administrative and managerial work in directing and coordinating activities at the Entertainment Center and assures that the ultimate entertainment experience is enjoyed by all residents at the most reasonable prices.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work involves administrative responsibilities for planning and coordinating the functions of the Entertainment Center.
  • Plans, coordinates, and exercises the direction of Entertainment Center activities.
  • Evaluates programs through observations and special reports.
  • Responsible for managing shows, including dance bands, and for all pertinent information pertaining to shows, and distribution information to stage technicians, maintenance, and security of technical equipment.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the Box Office and ticket sales process.
  • Responsible for making appropriate budget recommendations to the Director
  • Monitors financial information and produces monthly reports detailing ticket sales, current and deferred.
  • Attends all live Theatre shows and events with an emphasis on evaluating performers and evening staff.
  • Assists the Director of Entertainment and Recreation with Season Programming: Including scouting for new talent, attending showcases, conferences, and in any other capacity needed by Director to help provide quality programming to residents.

Capabilities & Licenses

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Theatre, or related field.
  • Five years of extensive administrative experience in a similar position or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, solid executive presence, self-confidence, and professional maturity.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles, problems, and techniques of entertainment facilities.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise shows, movies, and resident programs at the most reasonable prices.
  • Must possess strong supervisory skills.

Standard Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm, and Saturdays from 3 pm – 10 pm.

Must be flexible and able to work when needed for other events outside of the hours listed above.

Position will require moderate physical effort, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to fifty (30) pounds. The position requires the ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

Valid Florida driver's license required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
