Job Summary:
Identifies, plans, and performs routine maintenance and repair on machines, mechanical equipment, structures, and buildings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides maintenance and repair of plumbing and electrical systems in multiple locations.
- Completes projects and repairs, to include developing plans, material lists, and deadlines.
- Ensures safety and quality workmanship in maintenance and repair tasks.
- Layout, construct, patch and paint interior and exterior walls, trim, using tools.
- General repair and preventative maintenance of equipment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintenance and repair of buildings using hand and power tools in a safe and professional manner.
- Follow proper safety training guidelines.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various machines, equipment, and structures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance.
- Mechanically inclined and able to learn various technical/mechanical requirements of buildings and systems.
- Knowledge of power tools, cutting torches, welders, and power washing equipment, and other equipment as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of experience in equipment and building maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
Wyoming Horse Racing offers medical, dental and vision insurance plus paid time off. Successful candidates must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Starting pay $20/hour.
