Our company offers a variety of benefits, including: * Medical coverage options through Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield * Affordable medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance benefits * Three pet insurance options available * Flexible pay options, including daily, weekly, or bi-weekly pay advances * Company-paid vacation days and sick time * Employee Assistance Program * Excellent career advancement opportunities * Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment programs * Company-paid life insurance * 401K retirement program * Health Saving Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Dependent Care FSA **Responsibilities:** * Direct and manage the entire operation of a nursing unit * Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues * Manage area of responsibility with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible * Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote the recruitment, retention, development, and continuing education of nursing staff members * Contact physicians as necessary and ensure timely and appropriate interventions * Review staffing patterns and census of nursing units, and reassign personnel as necessary to ensure staffing meets resident needs and budgetary controls * Monitor the clinical operations of the unit and resident conditions, ensuring quality care is administered * Obtain medications, supplies, and medical records needed to provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic care to residents * Assist in the orientation of new personnel, monitor their skills, and guide and observe staff that may need assistance with procedures * Participate in facility "QA" program **Requirements:** * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, degree preferred * Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) (if state requires) * Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable * Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment * Skilled in motivation of staff and leadership * Skilled in work assessment * Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization * Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certification * Basic computer skills * Ability to work with a culturally diverse resident and employee population
