Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services team. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care to patients with various obstetrical, gynecological, and newborn situations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to patients using the nursing process
- Recognize, triage, assess, and treat life-threatening conditions in obstetrical patients
- Effectively admit obstetrical patients to labor and induce delivery as needed
- Care for patients post-delivery and educate families on newborn care
- Assess newborns, recognize anomalies, and transfer to higher levels of care if necessary
Reports To: Director of the Women's Center
Qualifications:
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work in stressful environments and take appropriate action
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS certifications within 6 months
- Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX exam
Preferred Experience: At least one year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Post Partum, or GYN Department as an RN
Salary : $72,295 - $118,966
