Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management within manufacturing or aerospace environments, with a focus on implementing and managing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety across the site. This role will involve hands-on leadership, internal audits, safety training oversight, and active involvement in risk management and incident investigations.
Key Responsibilities:

Internal Audits: Plan, conduct, and document internal safety audits to ensure compliance with company safety policies and relevant regulations.

Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, briefings, and toolbox talks.

Safety Advocacy: Act as an advocate for safety at the site, promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices among all employees.

Training Oversight: Monitor safety training programs, ensuring that all personnel complete required training on time and that records are properly maintained.

Job Hazard Analysis (JHA): Conduct thorough job hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement effective control measures.

Incident Investigation: Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to workplace injuries and illnesses. Ensure all incidents are investigated and documented appropriately.

OSHA Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and accurate OSHA records, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and reporting requirements.

Leadership & Innovation: Take a proactive, leader-spirited approach to safety, continuously looking for ways to pioneer safety improvements and engage the workforce in safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety management within manufacturing or aerospace industries.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Proven experience with root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective action implementation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Nice to have:
- Certifications: Must possess a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
Working Conditions:
This is an onsite position based in Luling, requiring regular presence at the facility. Occasional travel may be required for training or other business-related needs. Candidates must reside no more than 100 miles from Luling.
