Automotive Painter

Xcite Automotive is seeking Automotive Painters for our dealership partners in Panama City, FL!

Automotive Painters are responsible for preparing vehicles for primer and paint application and providing quality paint finishes on customers' and clients' vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have 5 of experience in Reconditioning Painting, with the ability to repair small dings, scratches, and minor repairs.

You will earn an annual salary of $60,000, pay is based on experience. We also offer a combo role to painters that excel with PDR, which your pay could increase to 100k plus to work as a PDR tech and painter.

Responsibilities:

• Properly mix paint colors
• Use specialty painting techniques on the vehicle
• Prepare, blend, and finish vehicle surfaces
• Manage and control materials and inventory
• Remove dirt and debris from vehicles
• Perform sanding, buffing, polishing, or retouching vehicles to prepare vehicle surface
• Taping and covering vehicle parts efficiently and with extreme precision does not require painting
• Prepare vehicles for primer and paint application
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work on vehicles for extended periods
• Work alongside the paint prep team to assist in keeping the vehicle on schedule
• Inspect final prep and paint application

What you need:

• Prior experience working with paint processes
• Ability to perform small repairs on vehicles such as dings, scratches, and minor repairs
• Experience with wet sand and buffing
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including walking, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods
• Able to use hand power tools
• Withstand exposure to fumes and dust
• Strong attention to detail
• Work in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Automotive Reconditioning experience required
• Automotive Painting experience required
