Primary Responsibilities
- The Production Supervisor is accountable and responsible for managing departmental production, safety, environmental controls, developing production employees, quality, and departmental cost controls.
- Ensure the health and welfare of the people
- Oversee team members assigned work to meet Safety, Quality, OEE, and Delivery Targets
- Ensure team members are following Standardized Work and have coaching support
- Ensure team members complete 5s/TPM activities and Workplace Organization Standards are being maintained
- Ensure a smooth and seamless shift transition
- Responsible for record integrity (documentation, shift end paperwork, training matrix, overtime charts)
- Create a work environment that encourages continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years production supervisory experience
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferred
- Ability to work any shift, weekends and all scheduled overtime.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts
- MS Office tools fluency, especially Excel
- Self-directed, detail oriented, reliable, and strong initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others as required
