Who You Are:
As an armed security guard professional for XPressGuards, you will be responsible for using a combination of strong tactical security strategies to protect high-value goods and customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to adjust focus; self-motivation and ability to work independent of immediate supervision
- Must have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Must be able to clearly communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
What You'll Do:
- Guard and maintain the safety and security of the client's property and personnel
- Stay vigilant and ready at all times, ensuring the safety against potential threats, while also being attentive to prevent accidents that may lead to losses.
- Follow safety and security procedures, policies, and regulations to include the safety and unlawful carrying, handling, care, security, and use of firearms
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner
- Patrol an assigned area on foot or in a vehicle to observe for signs of danger or criminal activity
- Report suspicious activity or occurrences to supervisors or law enforcement officials
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Issue verbal warnings or making arrests when necessary for security violations or criminal activity
- Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Requirements:
- Must possess an active California Guard Card
- Must possess an active California Firearm Permit
- Must own firearm and duty belt
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation to drive to and from designated sites
- Pass an extensive background check (criminal record, driving record, drug testing, etc.)
- Minimum High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to observe, walk, stand, sit, or drive for extended periods in various weather conditions; run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment; help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
