About the Role
XSE Group is seeking a seasoned IT Network Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This strategic role ensures seamless connectivity, robust security, and optimal performance across all systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, a collaborative leader, and a technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN architecture, firewall policies, and network security protocols
- Oversee network performance monitoring, diagnostics, and system tuning to ensure uptime and speed
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and serve as escalation point for network-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business goals
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and connectivity
- Develop and enforce IT security standards including access control, data protection, and threat mitigation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
- Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions as needed
- Document network topology, policies, and configurations
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior IT staff

Days 31–60: Strategize & Act
- Develop a Tactical Roadmap
- Prioritize upgrades, security patches, and process improvements
- Align network goals with broader business objectives
- Implement Early Wins
- Resolve a recurring issue or streamline a workflow
- Introduce a monitoring tool or dashboard for visibility
- Team Engagement
- Clarify roles and responsibilities
- Begin skill gap analysis and training plans
Days 61–90: Deliver & Plan Ahead
- Demonstrate Impact
- Present performance improvements or reduced downtime
- Share a quarterly network health report with leadership
- Strategic Planning
- Draft a 6–12 month roadmap for infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, or security enhancements
- Culture & Process
- Introduce documentation standards or change management protocols
- Reinforce a proactive, service-oriented team culture
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in network administration or management
- Robust experience with core Microsoft applications (e.g., Windows, 365, Active Directory)
- Experience managing virtual desktop and remote access environments
- Proficiency with Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or similar enterprise networking tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Certification preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network , or similar
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong communication and project management abilities
- Ability to work within all levels of the organization
