Job Summary
The Project Manager/Estimator will oversee commercial tile and stone projects from initial bid to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. This role combines project management expertise with accurate cost estimation to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial tile and stone projects.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bids.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Present estimates to clients and negotiate contract terms as needed.
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial tile and stone installation projects.
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Resolve issues promptly to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.
Administration:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management.
Ensure all projects meet contractual obligations and industry standards.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management and/or cost estimation in the construction or tile/stone industry.
Proven track record of managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of tile and stone installation processes, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications.
Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with project management and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CTC) are a plus.
