Social Media at Yamaha represents a community of music makers, appreciators and enthusiasts. We are a small but mighty team that handles all aspects of organic social for the Yamaha Music USA properties. We work with multiple stakeholder groups within Yamaha including our global social media partners to procure and produce content that inspires and engages the music community of Yamaha.

The role we are looking for is a Social Content Manager who will report to the Social Media Manager and be responsible for developing and planning world-class content for Yamaha Music social platforms. The position will be responsible for assisting the team with developing and contributing to the larger social program at Yamaha Music USA, content planning across all social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Plan YouTube brand video content with our in-house agency Studio60 to ensure that our brand level content ladders up to our overall company and marketing objectives
• Drive social video planning and production for social platforms working with our in-house agency Studio60, and various internal and external partners to elevate brand and create customer affinity
• Manage content production efforts and workflows with our in-house agency to drive social video production opportunities
• Work with Yamaha Artist Relations team to seek out and develop content opportunities within the Yamaha artist roster
• Curate content from the Yamaha communities and develop a long-term pipeline for user generated content
• Plan social content in partnership with category teams based on strategy, initiatives and messages
• Manage and develop plan to support the Yamaha Music USA influencer program
• Community manage within our social platforms to respond to customers in a thoughtful manner.
• Manage editorial and publishing calendars and ensure alignment to the larger goals of the department and organization
• Additional social project tasks as required

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table

• At least 5 years proven working experience in social media marketing for a brand or agency
• The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have a deep understanding of social media operation, analytics, content development and strategy
• Previous work in social planning and or content management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with community management and social media analytics
• Work independently and ability to effectively collaborate in team setting
• Strong understanding and familiarity of working with social management tools

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or Communications
• Previous work in corporate social media, or agency experience is preferred
• Fellow musician or a love of music
• Graphic or video editing/production skills
• Sprinklr social management and listening tool a plus
