What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Yamas Group?
Ready to Actually Build Something That Matters?
You’ve got the engineering degree. One to two years experience or even a few CAD-heavy internships under your belt. Now you’re looking for a team that’ll actually invest in you—not just drop you into a cubicle with legacy drawings and a four-week training video.
We’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative team that designs custom automation equipment for industries that matter—think medical devices, energy, and consumer products. This is a full-time, in-office role with built-in mentorship and exposure to the full design/build/debug process.
Why You’ll Want This Role:
- You’ll get hands-on design experience from day one—not just redlines and revisions.
- You’ll work on real projects with real impact across industries that improve lives.
- You’ll be mentored by seasoned engineers who actually care about your growth.
- You’ll see the full lifecycle—from sketch to 3D model to final machine in motion.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing mechanical systems for automation machines using SolidWorks
- Collaborating with controls engineers, fabricators, and the applications team
- Creating BOMs, drawings, and documentation that actually get used
- Solving real-world design challenges—and seeing your solutions come to life
What You Bring:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD experience
- Curiosity, coachability, and a love for figuring out how things work
- Bonus: an internship or co-op in automation or manufacturing
If you're ready to stop “getting experience” and start becoming the engineer you set out to be—this is your shot.
Let’s talk. Confidentially.
