About the Role:
Yardi is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Analyst I to enhance our finance department. In this role, you'll become an essential member of our financial team, tasked with ensuring the swift and accurate processing and posting of payments. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are dedicated to resolving problems while keeping detailed financial records. You'll work closely with our valued customers and supportive team members, addressing and resolving any issues related to payment applications. What You’ll Do:
- Apply customer payments to the accounting system, including checks, ACH, and credit cards.
- Research and resolve payment application issues; identifies process improvements to prevent recurring issues.
- Escalate issues to Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst upon exhausting research efforts.
- Ensure all payments are applied within a week of batch date and by month end.
- Communicate with clients regarding remit discrepancies when needed.
- Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
- Assist with researching unpaid invoices and collecting payments.
- Update client records, client information, and billing settings.
- Assist with generating and distributing invoices; sets up client invoicing information in the accounting system.
- Maintain solid knowledge or accounts receivable concepts and department policies and procedures.
Who You Are:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One plus (1 ) years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of accounts receivable concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables.
- Data entry and 10-key proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Close attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
Ideal to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
