Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and quality related problems.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
- Using tools and test equipment, troubleshoot and repair any problems to the machine. (Electrical, mechanical, etc.) following all Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
- Use tools to fabricate parts needed to repair machinery
- Set preventative maintenance schedule so as not to interfere with production when possible
- May operate forklift to move materials
- Must be able to utilize tools, screwdrivers, grinder, saw, drill, wrenches/sockets and hammer
- Must be able to lift 15 to 45 pounds and pushing objects up to 400 pounds
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- High School diploma/GED (minimum)
- Experience using computer
- Proper lifting techniques required
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk
- Required to stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl
- Be vigilant about safety
- Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
