- Lifeguard Certification is required; however, we offer lifeguard certification courses, and reach out to students in the course about job opportunities. Candidates must successfully complete and pass the lifeguarding course prior to being hired for the position. If interested in taking a lifeguard certification course, please reach out to Karin Anderson, Association Senior Aquatics Director, by emailing her at kanderson@ymcaofcm.org.
- Provide supervision for the pool and surrounding areas
- Maintain the pool and surrounding area, ensuring that is safe for all YMCA members
- Document and report any safety concerns or broken equipment in the pool and surrounding areas
- Attend all staff trainings and maintain appropriate certifications for the position
- Other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director
- Must be currently lifeguard certified and able to present lifeguard certification
- Must be at least 16 years old
