The YMCA is looking for fun, hard working, individuals looking to make an impact in our community. This position will provide after school care in Portland Public Schools. This is a part time position, Monday through Friday, from 2:30-6:00pm.

Job Responsibilities:
A Teacher will work in the program supervising aides and volunteers. Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Teacher or Site Director in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Pass a YMCA Background Check
- 20 credit hours in Education or related field or at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care/school facility.
- Meet all teacher standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division.
- Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- At least 18 years of age
