What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthy Living Internship - YMCA position at YMCA OF FLORIDA'S FIRST COAST?
Intern Project:
Create an efficient referral workflow system for community members inquiring about YMCA Health living Programming.
As a healthy living intern, the ultimate goal is to build relationships among community members and partners. Through this internship there will be opportunity to shadow current evidence base programming, review current referral systems, assist with quality assurance of program implementation, research sustainability efforts, and develop marketing material for Y Healthy Living Solutions.
As an intern, you will learn the foundations of Listen First skills, other marketing and communication techniques.
Qualifications and Desired skills:
- Good organizational and execution skills, focus on detail
- Strong team player who can work independently
- Enjoys collaborating and takes directions from other team mates
- High level of written and oral communication.
- Comfortable with public speaking and facilitation
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service required
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Marketing Healthy Living initiatives- create material to highlight our many healthy living programs.
- Work with our Wellness Experience Makers scheduling and completing Fast Forward Fitness Appointments.
- Assist in completing tasks in Daxko Engage.
- Assist Brooks Rehab team with Adaptive Program.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Interns who apply for the YMCA Internship will learn all the necessary skills to provide them with the tools and resources to connect organizations for better membership engagement and services.

Hours and Days:
Interns are expected to work between 20-35 hours per week on programs. The bulk of the day (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) with some evening & weekend program events/meetings.
