Horseback Riding Instructor
We're hiring horseback riding instructors to be part of the Camp Ernst team, starting in spring 2024!

Responsibilities:
- Instructs horsemanship lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly.
- Develops positive relationships with participants and provides motivational support and guidance.
- Encourages member and parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
- Conveys basic information regarding ranch programs and schedules.
- Organizes and puts away needed equipment. Reports damaged equipment.
- Trains and supervises horsemanship lesson students and volunteers as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older, with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid training.
- Certified Horsemanship Association Instructor certification or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach the development of horsemanship skills.
- Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper horseback riding techniques.
- Ability to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child.
