Then Aquatics Program Coordinator II position is responsible and accountable for assisting in all aspects of the aquatics department activities and events. Responsibilities
- Coordinates with District on logistics for grant program
- Assists in interviewing, scheduling, disciplining, and supervising qualified staff
- Coordinates training for lifeguards
- May provide swimming instructions to district staff
- Work with Aquatics Director to evaluate the impact of grant funded programs
- Assists and participates in marketing and special events
- Assists in managing the departmental operations
- Maintain records of program participants
- Assists in associate meetings
- Be a team player with all associates
- Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately
- Assist in providing leadership of the Annual Mission Campaign
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years' experience in assigned program area
- Current YMCA Lifeguard certification
- Current YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor certification
- American Safety and Health Institute certifications:
- Current First Aid
- Current CPRPro (includes AED)
- Current Emergency Oxygen
- Perform and pass rescue skills
- Minimum of one year supervision preferred
- Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to make independent and sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $14 - $18
