POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the National Director, Reach & Rise and the Chinatown YMCA Community Programs Director, the Reach & Rise Program Manager is responsible for oversight and ongoing development and implementation of the YMCA’s National Reach & Rise Mentoring Program at the Chinatown YMCA. The Reach & Rise Program Manager is a Mental Health Professional who will establish the Reach & Rise Program Model by recruiting, training, and matching volunteers, as well as responsible for managing risk within the program. They ensure uniformity of training curriculum, data collection, outcome objectives, and ongoing clinical support. The Reach & Rise Program Manager will produce all data related to the child, the family, and the mentoring relationship, in accordance with OJJDP grant requirements.
The Reach & Rise Program Manager serves as a clinical mind for the YSF and is supervised by their respective YMCA Director who assists with messaging, marketing, and brokering linkages to all available YMCA resources (e.g., facilities, human resources, risk management, volunteers, etc.). The Reach & Rise Program Manager will participate in training provided by the National Director.
This position is concerned with the delivery and coordination of services in the community. To this end, the Reach & Rise Program Manager must have the interpersonal skills to interact with volunteers, youth, and the community. The Reach & Rise Program Manager effectively manages and ensures compliance with all aspects of active grants and the partnership agreements with OJJDP, and YMCA of San Francisco.. The Reach & Rise Program Manager ensures that all goals and objectives are met for the program at their branch and must have the ability to clearly document outcomes and data per program protocols.
