The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the HR function. This role partners with leadership to design and execute strategies that drive organizational performance, talent development, and a strong company culture, while also ensuring the effective delivery of HR processes and compliance.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who can balance big-picture planning with hands-on operational management, providing guidance across all areas of HR.

Strategic Responsibilities
- Workforce Planning & Organizational Development
- Partner with executive leadership to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Assess workforce trends, succession planning needs, and talent gaps to inform future growth.
- Talent Management & Development
- Build programs for leadership development, career paths, and employee engagement.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives to enhance culture.
- Compensation & Benefits Strategy
- Collaborate on competitive compensation, benefits, and reward strategies to attract and retain talent.
- Provide market insights to inform executive pay and workforce planning decisions.
- Change Management & Culture
- Lead change initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and enhance employee experience.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, influencing decisions that impact the workforce.
- HR Operations
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage employee records, HRIS data accuracy, and reporting.
- Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Ensure effective execution of recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Partner with hiring managers to maintain a consistent, positive candidate experience.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Partner with HR operations/payroll teams to ensure accurate processing and benefit management.
- Monitor leave administration (FMLA, ADA, PTO) and ensure policy adherence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on operational tasks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and change management skills.
- Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
