Job Title: Custody Supervisor
Job Overview: York/Adams Custody Supervision is committed to delivering high-quality custody supervision services. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Custody Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and well-being of children during supervised visitations, maintain detailed records, and facilitate positive interactions between children and their non-custodial parents. We offer room for growth with trainings and experience.
Hours: We are currently growing and looking for a part-time worker who can work every other weekend (or every weekend if hours are available), and cover down as needed. Hours are subject to change as case loads increase and decrease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor supervised visitations between children and non-custodial parents.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment during visitations.
- Document detailed notes on each visitation session.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved, including custodial and non-custodial parents.
- Adhere to all legal and organizational protocols regarding custody supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Pass State, FBI and Child Line clearances.
- Proven experience in crisis management, behavioral health, or child welfare settings.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Experience working with children and families in various capacities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of community resources available for children and families in need of support.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
- Experience in writing professional case notes, based on observation and fact.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
