JOB SUMMARY:
The QC Lab Tech is responsible for pulling samples of block and aggregates, inspection of truck beds, entering information in the system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pull samples of block and aggregate. Samples up to 50 pounds per sample.
- Inspection of all truck beds.
- Responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, facilitating and managing aspects of the QC lab.
- Mixing color to order, verification of the design.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism when working with employees, customers, and business associates at all levels.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience in working with state and federal documents.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak season.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
- The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
- Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
- Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working at height and in confined spaces.
- Capable of shoveling wet, sticky, material for extended periods of time.
