Quality Manager

Job Summary: 

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the YMW’s Quality Systems program as well as the contact for all technical customer concerns: i.e. Plant audits etc., 

Essential Job Functions: 

Quality

• Leads with a relentless pursuit of the quality specifications dictated by our customers and to strengthen YMW’s corporate Quality Statement. 
• Oversees the BRC Certification processes and audit. 
• Maintains current knowledge of industry quality requirements. 

• Sets departmental goals and establish tactical plans for improvement. 
• Oversees and develops all necessary programs to meet industry requirements.  
• Maintains and sets Good Manufacturing Practices. 
• Integrates Pest Management System. 
• Sets Supplier Management Program. 

• Maintains the Traceability & Recall Program. 
• Ensures Proper Documentation and Record Keeping. 
• Guides on the Allergen Awareness Management Program. 
• Assists with the Corrective Action Program. 
• Ensures corrective/preventive actions are implemented for internal and external customer complaints.        

• Updates and maintains Quality manual. 
• Updates and maintains Quality SOP program. 
• Ensures policies and procedures compliance across all departments for SOP.s 
• Is visible for YMW’s plant team to understand and communicate YMW Quality programs. 

Required Abilities: 

• Interactions with other departments; Design, Production, Sales to meet all customer requirements and special needs. 

• Excellent organizational skills. 
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure of demanding timelines.

Qualifications

Qualifications:   

• Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field, i.e. Food Science, Engineering, IT. 

• Experience 

• At least 10 years’ experience in Technical management.  
• Versed in BRC standards preferred. 

• Language 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• Reasoning 

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral forms. 
• Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists. 

• Technical 

• Computer literate (basic understanding of Word and Excel and data entry skills). 
• Ability to learn and understand technical laboratory equipment analyses.

Manufacturing environment.

Salary

• $75,000- $95,000

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
