Job Summary

This is a multifunction position of Heavy Roll Paper handling in a warehouse environment, and transfers by truck tractor to and from the plant with heavy loads of paper. Other requirements will be the ability to process receiving and communicate with drivers with inbound shipments.

Essential Job Functions

• Qualified to operate equipment by passing a Forklift Test with Roll Clamp Attachment certification.
• Demonstrates Safe Practices of heavy roll handling within the warehouse environment.
• Understand shipping manifests from vehicles to be unloaded.
• Utilize RF Scanning system to identify product.
• Can Print Roll Tags and receive product in.
• Comprehends different grades of paper and proper storage locations.
• Maintains and accurate inventory within the warehouse
• Can handle various roll types safely to prevent damage.
• Comprehends the corrugator line up and paper requirements for runs.
• Proper Forklift Inspection prior to operating lift.
• Performs Lock out Tag out when there are safety concerns with the Lift truck.
• Exercise proper handling to ensure good quality of work.
• Replenish stock at the main building and keep adequate stock available to ensure no disruption in production
• Demonstrates daily safety checks on the jockey truck and trailer and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisory staff before use.
• Understands safe loading and unloading procedures for trailers.
• Qualified to operate Tractor Trailer including backing and safe handling of the vehicle.

• Help with unloads at the plant as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred prior work experience in the corrugated industry
• Experience as a Clamp Truck operator
• High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of company equipment and in the prevention of damage to materials and equipment
• Pass substance abuse screening according to company policy
• Desire to be a part of a winning team, matching work ethic and energy level
• Maintain Qualifications as a lift operator as required by law.
• Able to operate truck trailer.

Environment

Hot and cold conditions may be present as ability to control the temperature is limited. Warehouse/Shipping are impacted by the seasons and weather. Dust, dirt, and some odors, chemicals and solvents may be present in the workplace. Varied ranges of loud noise requiring hearing protection are present, so must be able to use ear plugs or muffs for protection. Bright to dim lighting situations are present. No sitting except on assigned break periods which are provided.
