Whole Family Coach
Full Time; Non-Exempt
Do you have a passion to make a difference and positively impact young children and their families? The Whole Family Coach supports enrolled Head Start and WIC families utilizing a Whole Family Model through community resources and coaching to resolve immediate or urgent crisis, and other goals that promote long-term financial and household stability. Establish and maintain linkages between YCCAC’s many programs and services and the communities in which we provide services.
Your role:
- Providing client-centered coaching to Head Start and WIC participants of York County regarding employment, housing, public benefits, legal issues, energy, education, financial stability, and other pertinent resources.
- Connect participants to needed resources
- Supports participants with goal-setting, assessment, and implementation of a “Pathway Plan” to achieve long-term stability
- Provide emergency assistance for basic needs such as utilities, shelter, and food when funds are available
- Serve as an advocate when appropriate; assist participants in developing the skills and expertise to advocate on their own behalf
- Conduct home visits and community visits to participants unable to schedule visits to outreach sites
Qualifications: The successful candidate will:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree and or LSW preferred; experience may be substituted
- Have experience in a social services program preferred
- Have experience and or demonstrated ability to function well in a helping relationship with other persons, and to maintain appropriate boundaries
- Have the ability to work remotely using text, email, and phone
- Not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website
