Position Title: Nursing Education Coordinator - Full Time (FT)
Department: Nursing Admin
Reports to: COO/CNO
Nature of Work
This position is responsible for all processes related to providing Nursing Education activities for the nursing staff at York General Hospital, Westview Medical Building and Dialysis. Assist in the professional development of Nursing Staff. This position serves as the Primary Nurse Planner for the Provider Unit.

What You Will Do
- Coordinates and completes all functions of the Approved Provider Unit. Serves as the Primary Nurse Planner of the Approved Provider Unit. Offers a set number of CEU offerings at York General Hospital/WVMB/Dialysis for Nursing staff each year.
- Coordinates the process for the Relias Learning System for Nursing and additional identified virtual learning systems for Nursing staff.
- Maintain the RQI systems for BLS, ACLS, NRP and PAL’s. Overall responsibility for the coordination, maintenance, communication of the scheduling and processes related to required education needs. Coordinating the signing up, scheduling etc. of TNCC, NRP, PALS for both staff and providers.
- Works closely with Nursing Directors to set up Nursing orientation, ongoing competencies and drills to promote skill learning for all nursing departments (mock codes, drills) at the department level. Identifies Evidenced Based Practice and incorporates into educational opportunities.
- Coordinates any new equipment training for our nursing departments.
- Serves as the committee chair for the Nursing Clinical Ladder program. Coordinates the process for Nursing Clinical Ladder program.
- Coordinates student programs (high school and backup for college students) for those students who come to York General as part of their educational programs.
- Process education conference requests, tracking, communications to staff and Directors regarding approval and provide follow up as needed.
What You Need
- At least 3 years RN experience, licensed RN in Nebraska
- Competency in Microsoft programs
- Must maintain TNCC, PALS, NRP, BLS, and ACLS.
- BSN require, MSN preferred.
