Position Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time (FT)

What You'll Do
- Utilizes the nursing process in assessing and evaluating patient needs and problems, planning and implementing nursing care, evaluating patient response and progress toward outcomes and revising the plan of care accordingly.
- Provides direct patient care and implements physician orders (administers medications, treatments, IV therapy; meets needs for hygiene, nutrition, positioning and activity; applies other interventions appropriate to patient and SO needs).
- Prioritizes, organizes, delegates care activities as appropriate to patient and shift needs; provides supervision of delegated tasks.
- Assesses readiness and need for patient/SO education including discharge planning needs; provides appropriate teaching and support.
- Communicates and collaborates with the physician and other health care providers to meet patient needs; participates in rounds, utilizes lab results, progress notes and other parts of the medical record to keep informed regarding patient condition.
- Documents assessments, evaluations, and interventions; provides other verbal, written and automated communication needed.
What You Need
- Good communication skills, flexibility, and a caring attitude.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- This position required graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current license in the state of Nebraska.
- This position also requires BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
