State Certified Technician preferred, but not required. Please have time to fill out an application and take a test on site. Applicant must be able to pass a drug test. We are open 9am-6pm (closed for lunch 1-1:30pm) Mon- Fri and 9am-1pm Sat. Closed on Sundays and all major holidays.

Job Objective:

Responsible for ensuring all prescriptions are filled in correct manner according to all applicable laws, without error, and in a timely manner. Complete projects and enhanced services on a regular basis in a correct and effiecient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull labels from printer and correctly package medications according to applicable laws and patient preference.
  • Correctly pull medications to be filled
  • Accurately fill, label, and initial all prescriptions
  • Keep work stations clean, with medications put away after each order
  • Check inventory status for assigned shelves, and order appropriately according to par levels and/or supervisor instruction
  • Work with inventory manager to keep inventory at appropriate levels, including: removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, occasionally arriving early or staying late to conduct inventory, and keeping inventory neat, in-order, and alphabetically arranged
  • Unpack daily medication orders from wholesalers, sort, label, and put on appropriate shelves
  • Provide assistance to other technicians when appropriate, according to Supervisor
  • Compound when necessary
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy technician license in South Carolina or national certification (State Certified preferred but not required)
  • 1 years of related pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
