Description
- The Lead Teacher will assist the Preschool Director in providing direction for the program and staff in the classroom and implement program curriculum in the classroom and all preschool level camps during the summer.
- They will work cooperatively with other teachers and administrators to carry out the Preschool mission and vision.
- The incumbent will provide quality programing to children and parents that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
- Working year around until close.
- Work with the PreK Club House after school program.
Qualifications
Meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 Lead Teacher qualifications, including yearly in service requirements. CPR, First Aid, and other training required by the Department of Human Services (YMCA will provide this training upon hire).
A commitment to working with children in a developmental setting and a sincere desire to have a meaningful effect on their lives.
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate preschool program activities.
- Excellent skills in teaching, oral communication, written communication, interpersonal communication and human relations.
- Ability to work with children one-on-one or in small groups without assistance.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Never been convicted of any child abuse including sexual abuse.
Salary : $15 - $17
