POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Director is responsible for developing, delivering and
administering programs targeted toward youth and family engagement. This
includes but is not limited to summer camp, afterschool and before school
care, stay & play, youth and teen programs, sports, family events and birthday
parties. The incumbent is responsible for program development and quality,
management of staff and compliance with department policies, licensing
requirements, procedures and expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop, deliver and administer programs targeted toward youth and family
engagement to include but not limited to: Summer Camp, afterschool and
before school care, Stay & Play, Family Events, Birthday Parties, sports,
youth and teen enrichment programming.
2. Recruit, hire, on-board, train, develop and supervise their team members.
3. Develop community partnerships in support of Youth and Family
Engagement programming.
4. Recruit, on-board and engage program volunteers.
5. Ensure a high level of member service, enhancing the member, program
participant and guest experience and satisfaction.
6. Manage related program budget to ensure revenue and program service
goals are achieved.
7. Serve as a member of the branch leadership team performing specific duties
which support the overall success of branch operations.
8. Build relationships with members; help members connect with one another
and the YMCA.
9. Handle and resolve program related concerns and inform supervisor of
unusual situations or unresolved issues.
10. Apply all YMCA policies and expectations to program implementation.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA Degree required
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a leadership role in the areas of teaching, summer camp, youth programming, or relative experience.
- Experience preferred; education, outdoor programming, aquatics and/or camping.
- At least 21 years of age and with a good driving record (no more than 2 points on license) and willingness to obtain a CDL.
- Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings. Mental and physical ability to deal with high stress situations and work well under pressure.
Salary : $50,000 - $53,000
