This role involves mentoring and coaching staff, promoting a positive learning environment, and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Needs Assessment: Identify and address the educational needs of staff through needs assessments and ongoing evaluation.
- Clinical Expertise: Serves as a clinical resource and role model, providing mentorship and guidance to staff.
- Professional Development: Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff, including continuing education, certifications, and advanced practice roles.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Promote the integration of evidence-based practices into clinical care through education and training.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership, other departments, and external stakeholders to develop and deliver effective educational programs.
- Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Mentorship: As a Director of Clinical Education within our value-based care organization, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. You will mentor new employees, helping them to integrate into our organization and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality patient care. Your mentorship will contribute to their professional growth and success.
- Research: Stay current with relevant research and incorporates findings into educational programs.
- Current RN licensure
- Minimum of [3] years of clinical experience
- Master’s degree in nursing education or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in adult education principles and methodologies
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
- Should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order.
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development (CNPD) or a related field
- Experience in developing and delivering online or blended learning programs
- Expertise in a specific clinical area or specialty
