JOB OPENINGS AT THE YUBA COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS OFFICE
The Yuba County Public Defenders Office is presently accepting applications for two (2) current job vacancies: 1) one misdemeanor attorney, and 2) one felony attorney. Both positions are full-time positions. Both positions include competitive salary and benefits. Starting salaries for both positions are commensurate with experience.
The Yuba County Public Defenders Office is located in Marysville, California. It is a small, tight-knit office in a small, rural county 30 to 45 minutes north of Sacramento. It is an easy commute from Sacramento, Roseville, and/or Grass Valley/Nevada City and attorneys who don’t live in the immediate area easily make the short commute to the office.
The Yuba County Public Defenders Office is a contract public defender office with an on-going contract that has been in place for over three (3) decades. In addition to a competitive salary, offered benefits include health insurance, a retirement plan with employer contributions, paid vacation/sick leave, and paid continuing education, among other benefits. The work loads for both positions are manageable and the co-workers are both friendly and helpful. Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Public Defender to join our legal team. As a Deputy Public Defender, you will be responsible for providing legal representation to individuals who cannot afford an attorney.
Duties:
