A Busser is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area in a restaurant, assisting servers, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Clearing Tables: Quickly clear dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables once guests are finished with their meals.
- Setting Up Tables: Reset tables with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and other items needed for the next guests.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Sweep and clean dining areas, especially around tables, and assist in maintaining a neat appearance throughout the dining room.
- Refilling Beverages and Bread: Assist servers by refilling water glasses, bread, or other items to enhance the dining experience.
- Assisting with Guest Requests: Respond promptly to any guest requests or needs, ensuring satisfaction.
- Supporting Service Staff: Help servers with large orders, carry trays, and support other service staff as needed.
- Stocking Supplies: Ensure that stations and areas are stocked with utensils, napkins, condiments, and other essential items.
- 1 to 3 years experience in cleaning and bussing in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong food service background with knowledge of proper bussing techniques
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow instructions accurately
- Morning, Afternoons & night shifts.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
- 8-hour shifts.
