Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional IT support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring smooth operation of various operating systems and computer networks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to analyze technical issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide IT support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Analyze and troubleshoot software problems across various operating systems, including macOS.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of computer networking components, including LAN setups.
- Manage DNS configurations and ensure proper connectivity for users.
- Utilize tools like Remedy for tracking support requests and documenting resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Conduct regular system checks to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Experience providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance to users.
- Certain applications may require certification by the software provider.
- Prior teaching/training experience involving computer applications, preferably database, imaging, or other automated litigation support applications strongly preferred.
- Must have hands-on familiarity with the network, telecommunications, and operating systems environment of the applications being supported. Prior experience in automated litigation support preferred.
- Experience with DOJ office automation environments extremely helpful; should be an expert user of the Government’s word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Pleasant telephone manner important. Undergraduate degree valued.
