Job Description
To operate and oversee the management of the Shelter building; supervise shelter staff; and provide support and resources to Service Receives in the shelter.
Essential Duties
· Provide direct service to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who stay in the Shelter focusing on crisis intervention, goal setting, and planning.
· Work one-on-one with clients to provide Advocacy services such as necessary transportation, referrals and appointments with outside agencies.
· Attend public presentations and community events as part of prevention services.
· Monitor the Shelter for issues of maintenance, safety and needs of clients
* Supervise shelter staff in performance of their duties and work as a team to meet the needs of clients in a safe and supportive environment.
Expectations
· Successful completion of criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening, and be cleared on any official state Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect.
· Have never had an Order of Protection issued against them or engaged in domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or child neglect/endangerment.
· Minimum of one year removed from any domestic violence or sexual assault situation.
· Provide a minimum of 4-6 days of on-call coverage for crisis line per month (including evenings, weekends and Holidays)
Must be able to drive for work and transport clients. Must be able to use a personal vehicle for work. Must have valid drivers license, insurance and registration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $20.00 per hour
