What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner/Busser position at Zack's Oak Bar and Restaurant?
Busy Hoboken, NJ restaurant seeking food runners/bussers on a full time or part time basis. Job duties include:
- Must be able to work comfortably in a busy, high-volume environment
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
- Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff, and be able to clearly communicate any questions or requests guests may have.
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
- Assist the wait staff with removing dirty dishes and glassware, and helping clean and reset tables for service
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
Skills
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
