We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team. In this role, you'll assist existing clients in securing and maintaining the protections they need for their business. You will be the primary person communicating with these clients as their advocate and perform essential duties to assure that our clients receive prompt and professional attention for all of their needs throughout the year.

Your Role
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients, with responsibility for renewals, endorsements, and ongoing account management. This role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex accounts independently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interact with all clients, carriers and vendors according to the Zander Four Pillars of Customer Service (Anticipate, Educate, Empathize, Own).
- Utilizing industry experience and knowledge, provide comprehensive client support handling day to day service tasks such as issuing client certificates, handling endorsement requests, managing payments and billing inquiries.
- The timely handling of all aspects of renewals, to include gathering up-to-date coverage and exposure information, preparing renewal submissions, marketing the renewals with qualified carriers, and presenting the renewals to clients, ensuring clients maintain continuous coverage.
- Effectively manage and apply problem solving techniques to various issues concerning cancellations, loss of coverage, claims, audits, receivables, carrier issues and other challenging renewal scenarios.
- Review all applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
- Review client policies along with other team members to identify risk and exposure, advise on the proper values for the client's assets, and recommend appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with clients, carriers, vendors and team members, displaying strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
This position focuses on existing client service and renewals and does not involve cold calling or new business prospecting.
Who You Are
- A seasoned Commercial Lines professional with strong renewal and servicing experience
- Comfortable managing complex accounts and client relationships independently
- Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A clear communicator who can explain complex coverage concepts to clients
- Confident working within agency management systems and carrier platforms
- A collaborative team member who takes ownership of client outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license
- Three or more years of direct Commercial Lines experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial Property and Casualty coverages, markets, and carriers
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial renewals and servicing client accounts
- Ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and effectively
- Experience working within agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
