Zayo is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to join our Tax Team. You'll get to work with our Tax and Regulatory Specialist and Director and be responsible for assisting with the Zayo’s federal, state, and local telecommunications reporting obligations.
Our Regulatory Analyst supports the company’s regulatory strategy by analyzing new and existing rules, preparing filings, and advising internal stakeholders on compliance requirements. You'll work closely with our Legal team and other members of the Indirect Tax team to mitigate regulatory risk and maintain adherence to industry standards.
* We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver, CO headquarters (1401 Wynkoop St) .

Regulatory Compliance
Monitor and interpret telecommunications regulations, tariffs, and reporting requirements from agencies such as the FCC, state public utility commissions, and other governing bodies.
Ensure timely and accurate submission and payment of regulatory filings, reports, and certifications.
Maintain documentation and records to support filings and audits.
Analysis & Reporting
Analyze regulatory changes and assess their impact on the Company’s business operations.
Support internal audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities.
Advisory & Collaboration
Collaborate with the Legal team to address regulatory risks and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline regulatory reporting processes.
Support implementation of systems and tools for automated compliance tracking.
What You'll Need :
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Paralegal or related field.
Experience: Two (2) - four (4) years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in telecommunications or a related industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of telecommunications regulations and reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical and research skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FCC and state-level telecommunications filings.
Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, Access, Alteryx).
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion is a plus) and tax software (Avalara is a plus).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Estimated base salary range: $68,100 - $104,700 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
