Reporting to the Head of Global Income Tax, our Income Tax Senior Manager will manage the compliance and reporting process for all U.S. jurisdictions, encompassing the process from estimated tax payments through audits.
In addition, the Income Tax Senior Manager will work with others on the team to prepare the worldwide U.S. GAAP income tax provision and accompanying disclosures for the annual and quarterly financial statements.
*We're open to our Income Tax Senior Manager working in a hybrid capacity from our Denver, CO office.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day compliance and reporting process for all U.S. federal and state income tax jurisdictions.
Manage the relationship with our outsourced tax compliance partner.
Prepare or review income tax workpapers necessary for U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, including quarterly estimates and extensions.
Prepare or review U.S. tax calculations and reporting for foreign operations.
Prepare or review U.S. tax calculations and associated financial statement disclosures for the worldwide tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis.
Prepare or assist with the worldwide consolidation of the U.S. GAAP tax provision.
Supervise Senior Income Tax Analyst.
Review state apportionment.
Review federal and state tax depreciation.
Oversee the maintenance of tax account, loss carryforward, fixed asset, and similar roll forward schedules for U.S. entities.
Provide guidance to the Senior Income Tax Analyst in gathering supporting data and responding to various state tax notices.
Manage federal and state income tax audits as they arise.
Perform tax research and analysis as required to identify tax saving opportunities, adopt new accounting pronouncements, and evaluate proposed tax legislation impacts to the company.
Assist with special projects such as tax planning and forecasting, accounting methods, and due diligence efforts on M&A activities and purchase accounting.
Assist with process and technology enhancements for tax provision and compliance.
Other duties as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Combined 12 years of work experience in income taxation with public accounting firm and corporate tax department
Public company multi-national experience
Solid understanding of ASC 740
Solid understanding of U.S. corporate tax compliance
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and maintain large, detailed volumes of data
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change
Strong work ethic
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license
Master's degree in Taxation
Experience with tax provision, compliance, depreciation, and data manipulation software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, SAGE, FMIS, OneStream, Alteryx)
Base pay range: $112,500-$165,000, commensurate with experience
