Position Overview
Role Summary:
We are seeking a high-impact, strategic leader to serve as Director of Enterprise Automation & UiPath Strategy, owning and transforming our automation function across the organization. This role is a critical backfill for a senior leader moving into our AI organization and presents an opportunity to take an established but underperforming automation program to the next level of maturity, standardization, and business value.
You will lead the end-to-end UiPath strategy, centralize automation delivery across business units, and serve as a key partner to engineering, data, and platform teams. This is not a greenfield build; the automation program has traction but needs stabilization, rationalization, and performance turnaround. The ideal candidate is an experienced UiPath leader with a proven track record executing enterprise-scale automation in regulated environments such as healthcare or banking.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the enterprise-wide automation strategy, with UiPath as the core platform for automation delivery across all business units.
- Develop and execute strategic roadmap to address performance gaps, elevate program maturity, and drive measurable business outcomes.
- Diagnose and correct current delivery, tooling, and governance issues, and implement consistent standards to ensure scalable, reliable automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, software development, infrastructure, and operations teams to embed automation into core enterprise workflows.
- Rationalize tooling usage, consolidate overlapping solutions, and establish a unified approach to automation delivery.
- Design automation with compliance in mind, operating within HIPAA, PCI, and other regulatory frameworks; account for data visibility limitations in offshore models.
- Lead a high-performing automation team, manage a defined sub-budget, and report on progress, ROI, and efficiency metrics to executive stakeholders.
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, aligning automation initiatives with enterprise objectives and future AI integration.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in automation leadership roles, including 3 years owning enterprise-scale UiPath programs.
- Deep expertise in UiPath design, deployment, orchestration, and governance at scale.
- Demonstrated success transforming and maturing automation programs—particularly in organizations undergoing operational or digital transformation.
- Proven experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services), including workflows involving sensitive data and compliance constraints.
- Experience managing teams and budgets in large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong ability to collaborate across engineering, platform, and business teams, and to communicate strategy and performance clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with or around offshore teams where data access must be restricted or compartmentalized.
- Background integrating automation with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) or enterprise data orchestration.
- Experience consolidating multiple automation tools into a single enterprise platform strategy.
- Exposure to AI/machine learning automation integration roadmaps is a plus.
