Summary Description: 

Oversees the day-to-day instruction of basic life and social skills while engaged in activities chosen by the participants. This includes assisting the Program Director in the coordination of individual services and being a liaison with families, government agencies (including Service Coordinators), and the community. Responsible for supervision of the DCP-Supervisor, program billing, intakes, keeping the electronic healthcare record up-to-date, competing case notes, and assessing program participants’ challenges and strengths to develop individual plans for progress towards individual goals and objectives.  The Program Administrator will work with the Interdisciplinary Team including the Director, DCP-Supervisor, Clinical Director, OT, PT, SLP, BCBA and Health Care Supervisor.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and ensure the health, safety, rights and dignity of individuals to encourage their independence while in the program, and on community trips, in accord with individual choice and human rights.
  • Implement universal positive behavior support strategies, including physical interventions recommended by the Program Director, Clinical Director and/or BCBA.
  • Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team meetings as scheduled. 
  • With consultants and the Clinical Director, develop needed Service Plans, obtaining all required signatures, and updating as appropriate support program participants at local community service and recreation settings.
  • Provide program specific training as needed.
  • Provide direct supervision to the DCP- Supervisor
  • Train and oversee staff to complete all Individual Support Planning documentation according to established timelines.
  • Facilitate daily staff meetings
  • Plan, participate and implement service planning, attend regular supervision meetings, staff trainings, staff meetings and individual meetings as assigned.
  • Ensure the electronic healthcare record system is up-to-date
  • Assist with the intake process
  • Ensure required paperwork is completed in a timely manner
  • Complete program billing
  • Work collaboratively with the DCP-Supervisor to develop and maintain weekly schedule for program participants.
  • Participate in planning, development, and implementation of skill building programs. 
  • Teach, train and perform as a role model for individuals and staff in the program.
  • Identify resources and materials for skill-building instruction and training.
  • Adhere to all individualized plans for the participants, write annual assessments and Service Plans.   
  • Complete case management duties for assigned individuals, including advocacy, team planning, and liaison with other agencies and families.   In a timely manner, complete all Progress Notes, Support Strategies, and other required documentation utilized within the program.
  • Upkeep of all Service Plan documentation including data collection, service agreements, treatment plans, and attendance
  • Assist Director in preparation for survey and certification reviews.
  • Complete incident reports in the electronic healthcare record.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, treating all individuals, staff and families as valued adults.
  • Monitor the general cleanliness and safety of the facility.
  • Drive company vehicles as required 
  • Assist new individuals to transition into the program.
  • Support program participant’s right to express their religious affiliations and cultural traditions through preferred and relevant activities.  Support diversity of individuals served through respect of religious preferences and/or cultural backgrounds.
  • Act as a mandated reporter, ensure that staff are documenting and reporting all allegations of abuse, dishonesty and unethical behavior to the proper authority.  
  • Ensure the program is in compliance with all Federal, State, and MassHealth & DDS regulations.  
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Requirements:  Ability to work with people of varying abilities including those who are non-verbal and have behavioral challenges. Ability to communicate with families and the public in a professional manner.  Possession of a valid Driver’s license, a good driving record and a willingness to use agency vehicle or own personal vehicle in the course of employment.   Ability to lift and support the body weight of any program individual with the assistance of another employee.  Must have reliable transportation. 

Preference: Bachelor’s Degree or at least two years of experience in health-care management. At least one year of supervisory experience. Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and autism, CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention Training.
