Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 40 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
This position is responsible for contributing to the development and assisting in the establishment and monitoring of Zepf Center’s Human Resource functions. Supports the functions of the HR Manager, participating in the development of HR strategies and designated programs within the HR department. Serves as the Labor Relations liaison performing employee investigations and assisting in the grievance procedures along with other related union activities.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating the recruitment, selection, placement, and retention of qualified applicants for all programs ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreement and state/ federal regulations.
• Works with managers to determine staffing levels in conjunction with their department’s budget.
• Track and approve new vacancy requests.
• Maintain vacancy spreadsheet with the status of all open positions.
• Manage the internship process and orientation.
• Create, audit, and modify job descriptions as needed.
• Create and analyze surveys and reports.
• Coordinate the exit interview process.
• Responsible for the annual review of the employee handbook.
• Investigate and assist in the grievance procedures and other related union activities.
• Responsible for executing and monitoring the performance evaluation program.
• Assists with agency audits that need personnel information.
• Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
• Design and distribute employee communications and post on Znet and Workplace.
• Participate in the development of department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Investigate and assist in the grievance procedures.
• Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
• Act as point of contact for staff by handling questions, interpreting policies, and assisting in the resolution of problems
• Assist in ensuring the compliance of the employees and the company with HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field required
• Two-four years of related experience required
• SHRM-CP or related certificate preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office products
• High computer proficiency
