What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Sales Specialist position at Zig Tekeste Agency?
Join the nation's #1 insurance company as a General Sales Specialist (GSS). GSS members provide insurance and financial services to individuals of all ages. Bi-lingual candidates highly preferred (Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Amharic, Tigrinya, & Punjabi). Licensed candidates are favorable but no direct previous experience required. Compensation is base monthly bonus. Must be comfortable interacting with all kinds of people an as expert in insurance and financial matters. Strong problem solving skills, comfortable working with basic numbers, and a general understanding of money matters that are important to everyday people is a must.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintain Property / Casualty & Life licenses to market company products
- Identify strike zone by working with agent and personal lines underwriter
- Contacting and reaching out to prospects (leads are provided by agency but there is also an expectation that GSS members develop their own lead resources)
- Develop action plans to reach goals
- Manage leads from the first point of contact
- Close sales and identify roadmap of where client needs to go next
- Set appointments for annual reviews
- Maintain relationships developed by agent with various affiliates
- Assist agent in achieving $5 million in annual life premiums
