POSITION SUMMARY:
Duties will ensure an emphasis on nutritional awareness and program requirements while incorporating customer needs and preferences. Primary duties will include organization and management of the nutritional analysis software used within the department and all related activities, including the promotion of “Wellness” related activities within the department.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of USDA menu planning guidelines/regulations Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, co-workers, parents, administrators, vendors, etc. and deliver excellent customer service. Comfort level with variety of nutrition related software programs and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency. Must have ability to juggle multiple tasks and maintain clean, safe and organized workspace while demonstrating accountability, initiative, and leadership.
Education: Registered Dietitian preferred o Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition required
Experience: 3-5 years in related field. Certificate/License: Must complete department Food Safety Training as required. Member of School Nutrition Association preferred. Must hold valid Indiana driver’s license. CPR Certification is encouraged.
