Job Summary:
The successful candidate is very energetic, enthusiastic and wants to work for a fast paced company. You have basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment and have the ability to handle routine operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of field equipment. When equipment fails, your ability to work under pressure enables you to troubleshoot effectively and in a timely manner, to reduce any non-productive time. Safety has always been an integral part of your career, and you have a very good understanding of legal, customer and company safety policies and live by them. The position is a rotation position with 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, and is shift work when on duty. During the on-weeks, you will be away from Houston for the duration of the rotation.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide field service to our clients in an efficient, safe and quality manner.
- Work closely with colleagues and customers in the field and shop.
- Performs routine operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of the equipment.
- Completes administrative documents and forms required by the company and other regulating agencies and maintains up to date maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and follow the operating discipline and procedures.
- Carry out work assignments to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct daily formal inspections on the shop floor or direct the completion of investigations of incidents or near misses, as appropriate.
- Provide feedback to supervision and ensure corrective actions are identified, assigned, and completed.
- Support on quality management systems and its compliance with pertinent quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Technical collage diploma. Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering tech is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar role, or 2 years in a technical role if none oil and gas.
- Must have knowledge of mechanical technology including equipment operations, maintenance and repairs.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to interpret equipment manuals, service notices, and related data.
- Must be organized and proficient in record keeping.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills and works as an effective team member
- Understanding of OHSA safety programs, process safety fundamentals, and basic environmental regulations.
- Be self-motivated and has ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure when faced with equipment issues.
- Willing to work on shift.
