The CST prepares operating room and patient for surgery. Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Being a CST assists the surgical team with donning sterile gowns and gloves. Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment. In addition, CST observes patients' vital signs, checks charts, and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during the surgical procedure.
