The Translator/Linguist reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Translates written and spoken information from one language to another. Being a Translator/Linguist must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information.
