The Ultrasonographer II performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Being an Ultrasonographer II may require an associate degree in a related area. Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. In addition, Ultrasonographer II typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Med ... ical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
